AUSTIN, Texas, January 17, 2018 – ESO Solutions, Inc., the leading data and software company serving emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments and hospitals, today announced Raymond McCauley – a Silicon Valley scientist, engineer and entrepreneur working at the forefront of biotechnology – will deliver one of two keynote presentations at Wave 2018, ESO’s annual user group meeting and national conference held in Austin, Texas February 1-2, 2018. Dr. Eric Beck, President & CEO for the Clinical Enterprise at the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center and the former Chief Executive Officer for Evolution Health at Envision Healthcare, will provide the first day’s opening keynote. Beck is widely regarded for his outcomes-orientation and focus on value innovation that synchronizes clinical and business aims for population health and post-acute care.

“Our more than 13,000 fire department, EMS and hospital customers are increasingly tapping into shared data and technologies to advance community health and safety, as well as improve patient outcomes,” said Chris Dillie, President and CEO of ESO. “We are excited to have visionaries like Raymond McCauley and Eric Beck, who bring unique perspectives, insights and ideas that will resonate with attendees. The keynotes will create the type of industry dialogue needed as we work together to improve community health and safety through the power of data.”

Today, first responders and emergency medical professionals are under more pressure than ever to improve community safety and patient outcomes. ESO’s customers are at the forefront of using software and data to prevent and address safety issues, improve quality of care and patient outcomes, and operate more efficiently and effectively. Wave brings together customers, industry leaders and technologists to share insights and ideas that address current continuity of care and community safety issues and help prepare agencies for the future.

McCauley will explore how advances in genomics, drug delivery, extreme longevity, big data, autonomous vehicles, robotics and other fields are changing how we deal with chronic disease care, infection, biodefense and the very structure of the healthcare environment.

Renown as a thought leader in the emergency medical community and a practicing physician, Beck is attuned to the challenges of today’s system. He will share his passion for data-driven improvements to the delivery of care and patient outcomes. Beck will also explore how data can help the industry overcome the challenges of the future.

McCauley is Chair of Digital Biology at Singularity University, a Silicon Valley think tank devoted to training leaders about exponential technologies. He serves as Co-founder and Chief Architect for BioCurious, a not-for-profit where professional scientists, DIY bio-hobbyists and entrepreneurs come together to design the next big thing out of a Silicon Valley garage. McCauley is also a developer and advisor to a distinguished list of companies and organizations. His work and profile have been featured in Wired, Forbes, Time, CNBC, Science and Nature.
